Inauguration of the Esperanza Solar Park, Dominican Republic

We are pleased to share the successful inauguration of the Esperanza Solar Park, located in the province of Valverde, northwest of the Dominican Republic.

 

With a capacity of 90 megawatts and a generation of +200 GWh, the project will avoid the emission of about 125,000 tCO2e annually. The Girasol I solar park and this project are part of the goal of installing 1,000 MW in new renewable energy plants by 2030. With this, EGE Haina marks a milestone in the commitment to promote renewable energy sources in the region.

 

Since 2022, Enerion Global is proud to offer its services to EGE Haina, managing the obtaining of carbon certificates for its projects under the prestigious Gold Standard program. This voluntary program brings together a shared commitment to promote climate responsibility, while furthering the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

The inauguration ceremony was honored with the presence of the distinguished President of the Republic, as well as with the participation of State Ministers, the Director of the National Energy Commission, Directors of EGE Haina and prominent local authorities.

 

This event underscores the fundamental role played by the renewable energy sector in the sustainable development of the country.
